Inviolable – Word Of The Day

inviolable – adjective

[in-vahyuh-luh-buh l]

1.   prohibiting violation; secure from destruction, violence, infringement,or desecration:

2.   incapable of being violated; incorruptible; unassailable

IronMan, Captain America, Thor, The Hulk, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch are just some of Marvel’s Avengers. These Avengers, some may argue, are the epitome of being inviolable. However, like DC’s Superman, they each have their kryptonite.

So what can be considered to be inviolable? In my opinion, I think there is no such thing if a literal meaning is to be the norm because anything and anyone can be destroyed or affected by violence or desecration. If you go by if a person can be inviolable as they are not affected at all by these things, my two kinds of people would be only true saints and sociopaths would fit into this category.

As far as things go, any natural occurrence can bring down even the strongest of buildings and of course man made destruction can bring down the same.

Therefore, is there really anyone or anything can truly be described as inviolable; depends on how precise you expect the definition to be.

I really wish there were but even monasteries can be brought down with man made or natural forces, the spirit inside may be the only thing that is truly inviolable. Maybe the spirit is the only being that can be.
